The long anticipated 92nd Ring Day Ceremony has arrived and like every other year, the ceremony was full of laughter and accomplishment, except this year’s theme was promises. President, Dottie King quoted, “Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think,” – A.A Milne.

On March 22, 2014, there were 82 Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College undergraduate, graduate, Master of Leadership Development, and Woods Online students that received their ring; the day symbolizes accomplishment, legacy and tradition at The Woods.

Assistant Professor of Theology, Ann Sullivan, SP, ’69, gave the keynote speech, and she left the recipients with an assignment; asking them to promise that they will look at their new rings each day and think about what they want to do with the rest of their lives.
